Lads and lasses, it’s time to get your running shoes on for the relay race with a whisky aftertaste … the 200-mile overnight mini-marathon that straddles the scenic Bourbon Trail, from the Bourbon Capital of the World at Bardstown, through the famous bluegrass countryside and horse farms, via the venerable whisky distilleries, to the finishing line at Lexington, the world’s horse capital.

Hundreds of joggers, runners and sprinters take part, so to guarantee a place in the 2011 Bourbon Chase Relay Race running enthusiasts and Bourbon lovers should register now.

From casual joggers to serious racers, this event is great fun for everyone.

The next Bourbon Chase will take place on 7 and 8 October 2011. Participants need to be part of a team of six to 12 people and each member of the team will run three legs over distances varying from three to seven miles.

Registering a team for 2010 Bourbon Chase Relay costs £1,205.

Hurry, there’s only slots for 150 teams are available for the inaugural running of this exciting even.
