About Kentucky
What is Kentucky? It’s home! The home of bourbon, America’s native spirit; the home of bluegrass, blue-hewn rolling hills and the footstomping music. It’s home to horses – the Kentucky Derby and Lexington, the horse capital of the world. It’s home to 17 sprawling national parks, all teeming with lakes, rivers and wildlife. It’s home to the world’s longest cave complex, all 365 miles of it, and America’s only “moonbow” (erm, what’s a moonbow?).
It’s home to quaint old towns and quirky new neighbourhoods. It’s home to the heavyweights, be it president Abraham Lincoln, pioneer Daniel Boone or the big puncher himself Muhammad Ali (his Louisville museum is the talk of America!).
Kentucky is also home to the Corvette, America’s princely sports car. And yes, you’re right, it is home to fried chicken – the Colonel’s first shop is here – but you should also try the fried catfish, the state delicacy…
Have you tried Kentucky? It’s delicious.
